San Francisco, Calif., June 23 2009 --- Alejandro Rubio, Mr. California, was named the winner of myPartner.com’s second annual America’s Gay Bachelor 2009 contest during a sold-out , star-studded finale event at the W San Diego in San Diego. The contest seeks the country’s most eligible, relationship-minded gay bachelor in America.
The five contestants were evaluated by a panel of celebrity judges including Ari Gold, openly gay R & B recording artist, Jesse Brune from the hot Bravo show “Work Out”, and Abel Lima, 2008 Winner of America’s Gay Bachelor.

We had the honor of sitting for a photo shoot with Adam Bouska and the men of NO H8 this weekend. If you don't yet know about the NO H8 campaign, you should, as they are helping to bring awareness to the injustice of Proposition 8 in California and similar actions throughout the country. No H8 is helping the fight for equal rights and marriage equality.
This Saturday at the W San Diego, we celebrated eligible gay bachelors throughout the country. The 2009 America's Gay Bachelor contest had over 400,000 votes to select our Top 5 Finalists, and while it was a tough choice between them all, this years judges (Ari gold, Jesse Brune, and Abel Lima) selected Mr. California as the winner!

Yet another major victory in New England: today New Hampshire's governor signed marriage equality into law, making it the sixth state to allow loving same-sex couples to marry. The bill survived a spate of propaganda from the right-wing National Organization for Marriage – the same group that ran the fake "Gathering Storm" ad – hammering Gov. John Lynch to veto equality. We prevailed. But now Gov. Lynch and the courageous lawmakers who passed this bill are about to feel the sting of a right-wing backlash.Let's show them they did the right thing.
